the written word

writing is a way of recording.
facts, details, events, and feelings become stories through
the reflective work of a writer.

someone once told me that "reading is a way of hitching a ride on someone else's consciousness."

i just love that idea.

i aspire to record the world as i see it,
as i experience it, and as i live it. 

foremost i consider myself a citizen of the world, gladly accepting the
responsibility of contributing to it as a whole, convinced that we are all connected, and we each have a story that deserves to be told.
