i love being on the road.
i've
driven across this country and back again, over the mountains
in costa rica, the unpaved roads of panama, and on the 'wrong' side
of the road in europe. i've weathered endless hours aboard buses
from the north of ecuador to the center of argentina, hailed taxis
in big cities and hitched rides in el caminos in third world
countries. i've gotten around on the metro, gotten lost on the
subway and gotten frustrated on the tube. i hiked the inca trail,
biked the road to puyo and strolled along the aux
champs-elysees. i've boarded commercial jets and tiny prop
planes, sailed on a catamaran in the galapagos, cruise ships in the
caribbean and a canoe in the amazon. i've held my breath, said my
prayers, and run for my life. i've had the incredible pleasure of
waking up in foreign cities in 20 different countries and seeing the
sun set over more than one ocean.
there are many places so far that i
have called home, and many more to come.
when you
love the road your journey never comes to an end.
